Bryson Grading and Paving

About Bryson Grading and Paving

Highlands sits high enough that clouds pass through the town rather than over it, and in winter that fog leaves rime on the rhododendron and a skin of ice on every drive the sun never reaches. Bryson Grading and Paving stays ahead of it, plowing driveways and lanes, cutting the walks clear by hand, salting the grades that fall away toward the gorge. Four thousand feet buys a genuine winter: snow that stays, refreezes each night, and asks to be moved again by morning. What matters is a household able to leave when it means to leave, instead of waiting on the pavement to thaw. Cold as it is up here, an open drive is a warm thing to come home to.
