Carolina Grounds Keeper

About Carolina Grounds Keeper

Nothing in Wittenburg is quite level; the yards tilt toward the creeks and the road cuts, and mowing them is a matter of reading contour. Carolina Grounds Keeper works those slopes through the high green of July — cutting across the fall of the land, trimming the banks a mower can't hold, edging the drive, and the walks blown clear afterward. Red clay and foothill grass make their own rules under the Brushies, and a straight stripe out here is earned rather than given. Standing at the road when it's over, the whole yard reads as one smooth sheet down the hill. That's the result the day is for.
