Rawlins Landscaping & Grading

About Rawlins Landscaping & Grading

The Blue Ridge Parkway runs high above this valley, and in late autumn you can watch color drain down the mountainside toward Avery Creek a week at a time. Rawlins Landscaping & Grading keeps the ground below in order, mowing sloped lawns, cutting edges along drives that climb, and clearing the leaves that arrive all at once when the ridges finally let go. Uneven ground is simply the condition here, so the cut follows the contour and the trimmer does the banks and the culvert lines. Leaf season is heavy work and honest work, and a yard stripped clean before the first hard freeze holds up far better in spring. Come March the grass comes back even, which is the quiet payoff for a thorough November.
