Appaloosa Lawn and Field Care

About Appaloosa Lawn and Field Care

By late afternoon in July the heat lies heavy over the Hamptonville hayfields, and the cicadas keep time while the last passes get made. Appaloosa Lawn and Field Care works both sides of the fence line — the trimmed yard by the porch and the broad ground behind it, brush knocked back and the fescue brought down to one even height. Yadkin County land rolls more than it looks like it does from the road, so every pass has to be read gate to gate for the finish to lie flat and clean. Thunderheads stack up west of here most summer evenings, which makes a job closed out ahead of the rain its own quiet reward. When autumn turns, the work moves to leaves and tidying, and the fields go gold and still.
