About Wac Corporation of Greenville

Summer in Grimesland is measured in rows, tobacco and cotton running toward the tree line across the flat, sandy country of Pitt County, with the Tar River curving close by to the north. Wac Corporation of Greenville brings that same straight-line discipline to the lawns of this small town, mowing in even passes that keep pace with grass racing through the humid weeks of June and July. Edges get trimmed along driveways and ditch banks, and clippings are blown back onto the turf rather than left on the pavement. Out here the sky is enormous and the land hides nothing, so a neat yard shows from the road a long way off. When the evening heat finally breaks and a thunderstorm drags its shadow over the fields, the yards beneath it are already cut and quiet.
