R&D Lawn and Turf

About R&D Lawn and Turf

Turf is its own subject, and around Grimesland — flat ground, sandy loam, sun from one end of the day to the other — it can be pushed to look like a field. R&D Lawn and Turf works toward that: mowing at the right height, edging tight, trimming clean, and keeping a lawn thick enough to crowd out trouble. A late-May cut on healthy grass lays down in bands you can see from the road, and that's the whole ambition in one picture. Properties here run from village lots to open acreage, and each gets the pattern that suits it. The growing season on this part of the coastal plain is long, so there's plenty of room to get it right.
