About King of the lawns

Come April, Grifton fills up. The Shad Festival brings the town down to the water along Contentnea Creek, and all week beforehand people are out front of their houses getting things straight before company arrives. King of the lawns takes that same view of a yard year round: mow it even, trim what the mower cannot reach, edge the walk, and clear the drive so the whole front of the house sits up. There is a plain kind of pride in a lawn that looks ready for anybody who might pull in. The route covers Grifton and reaches out to Kinston, Ayden and the country roads between them.
