About Alex Pinestraw & Mulch LLC

Pitt County grows its own mulch: longleaf needles dropping by the ton along the pine stands that line the county roads. Alex Pinestraw & Mulch LLC lays it where it does the most good — pine straw baled and spread around foundations, tree rings and long borders, mulch worked into beds until the bare ground stops showing through. Straw comes off the bale a fresh copper color, and a house that had gone plain over winter looks finished within an hour of the first one being broken open. Mowing, trimming and cleanup happen in the same visit, so the lawn and the beds arrive at the same place on the same day. Greenville and the towns nearby.
