Alston's Lawn Care

About Alston's Lawn Care

There is stone under nearly everything in Granite Quarry — it named the town, it shows up in the walls and the curbing, and now and then a mower finds a piece of it the hard way. Alston's Lawn Care knows where the ground goes shallow and cuts accordingly, mowing, trimming and edging the yards between here and the Salisbury side of the county. Rowan summers are long and heavy, so the grass gets tended on a rhythm rather than on a whim, and the trim work stays tight against walls, posts and beds. With Dunn's Mountain sitting off to the east, evenings cool a little sooner than the thermometer suggests, which makes for good late-day working light. A yard finished square and blown clean is the plain reward, and it lasts the whole week.
