About JC Lawn Care

By ten o'clock on a July morning the Gold Mine crossroads has gone quiet and the cicadas have taken the whole sound of the place over. That is high season for JC Lawn Care, when grass answers every thunderstorm by growing another inch overnight and a week between cuts is a week too long. The work is mowing, trimming tight around mailboxes and posts, edging where the grass tries to creep onto concrete, and clearing the clippings before they mat. Afternoons here build their own weather, so the day gets started early and finished before the sky turns that bruised gray over the pines. What is left behind is a lawn that lies flat and even, the kind you notice from the road without knowing why.
