About Paisley's Lawn and Home Care LLC

October in this corner of Alleghany County smells like woodsmoke and windfall apples, and the frost finds the low ground first. Paisley's Lawn and Home Care LLC finishes the season the way it opened it — a last close cut, leaves cleared out of the dooryard and the flower beds, mulch tucked around the shrubs before the cold sets in. Through the warm months it is regular mowing, trimming around porch steps, sheds and fence posts, and edging the drive so the gravel keeps its line. Houses up here sit in coves and along ridge roads where the mountain is always trying to take a little back, and holding that line is the work. When the first white shows on the high ground, the yard is ready for it.
