Marc Wells Lawn Maintenance

About Marc Wells Lawn Maintenance

Downtown Gastonia fills up on a summer evening — people out along Main Avenue, ballpark lights coming on over the outfield, the day's heat letting go about an inning in. Marc Wells Lawn Maintenance has usually been finished for hours by then, the trailer parked, six or eight yards behind him cut, edged, trimmed and swept. He works the way a town like this appreciates: same day each week, mower lines running the same direction, nothing left on the sidewalk. Shrubs get kept in bounds, leaves get cleared when the season calls for it, and beds stay clean around the edges. Gastonia has both mill-village lots and long suburban front yards, and each one asks for a slightly different approach to look right. Getting that right, over and over, is the whole job.
