About Advanced Turf Care

By early October the light over Rankin Lake goes thin and gold, the water holds its heat a little longer than the air, and every fescue lawn in Gaston County is finally ready to be fed. That window is what Advanced Turf Care builds its year around: core aeration to open compacted ground, overseeding while the soil is still warm, fertilization timed to the turn, weed control before the winter annuals get a foothold. The name is the job — grass treated as a crop rather than a chore, with mowing and edging that keep the stand thick and even between visits. Gastonia soil runs to clay, and clay rewards patience; a lawn worked on this way comes out of February with color while its neighbors are still waiting. Then spring arrives all at once, the way it does here, and the difference is plain from the street.
