About Reasoner & Son Lawncare

Noon in June on the roads between Furr and Lake Tillery, and the heat sits on the fields like a hand. Reasoner & Son Lawncare works straight through it, one on the mower and one on the trimmer, the truck parked in whatever shade a yard can offer. Mowing, trimming, edging, blowing down — the same rounds every week, because in a Piedmont summer a lawn will get away from you in eight days flat. What they like is the moment the machines shut off and the yard goes quiet, the cut running true from fence to fence. Furr, Albemarle, Norwood and the small places strung between them.
