Drakeford Lawn Care

About Drakeford Lawn Care

October comes slowly to the country between Furr and Badin Lake — a little more color each week in the oaks and hickories, and pine straw drifting down onto every gravel drive. Drakeford Lawn Care runs the season out with the mower as long as the grass keeps growing, then trades it for the blower and the tarp. Leaves cleared off the turf and out of the beds, straw raked from the drive, the last cut left low and tidy for the cold months. Late in the day, with the light going copper across a yard that was ankle-deep at breakfast, the job explains itself. That round covers Furr, Richfield, New London and the roads down toward Albemarle.
