Young Tree Service

About Young Tree Service

Autumn shows up early on this end of Jackson County — frost on the windshield in September, maples turning while the valleys below are still holding green. Young Tree Service spends that season on the Chattooga headwaters side of Cashiers, taking out storm-cracked hardwoods, trimming limbs off cabin roofs ahead of the first ice, and making pruning cuts while the branch structure is easy to read. Steep ground and long driveways are ordinary here, so every job is planned backward from where the wood has to end up. When a winter storm loads the hemlocks and something finally lets go across a lane, the answer is saw, chipper and a clear road by dark. A yard left tidy in these mountains is a small thing that makes the whole property feel looked after.
