About Better Homes, Lawns & Gardens

Downtown Franklin sits up on its hill, and from the blocks near the Nikwasi Mound you can watch the morning lift off the Little Tennessee in slow gray sheets. Better Homes, Lawns & Gardens keeps the yards up there, the ones that roll and pitch more than they lie flat, mowing with the slope so the lines follow the ground instead of arguing with it. Late spring is when the work stacks up — one warm week and a wet weekend, and a tidy lot goes shaggy before anybody's ready. Trimming around the steps, edging the walk until the border reads straight from the sidewalk, the bed edges squared off at the corners, the clippings carried away. In a town this size nobody remarks on a kept yard; they just feel it as they drive past.
