Spring Green

About Spring Green

For two weeks every April, Fayetteville earns its nickname outright — dogwoods opening white along the older streets, azaleas going loud underneath, the whole city dressed up before the real heat arrives. Spring Green times the year to that turn, when lawns wake from winter straw and want the first clean cut of the season. That first pass matters: even height, sharp lines at the walk, trimmer work pulled tight around every mailbox and bed so the new green has a shape to grow into. From there it is a steady cadence of mowing, edging and cleanup, carried on through the long Sandhills summer and the leaf-fall that follows. The name is the promise, and April is when the town says it back.
