About Cape Fear Wildlife Control, LLC

An ice storm reaches Fayetteville quietly. It comes up the Cape Fear as rain and lands as glass, and by three in the morning the bridges are lit and slick and the pines are bent low over the lines. Cape Fear Wildlife Control, LLC works those hours — plowing drives and lots, chipping and shoveling walks down to the pavement, spreading salt where the shade holds a freeze past noon. There is a particular satisfaction in a driveway opened before the sky has even gone gray: a black stripe through a white morning, and somebody's car out and gone on time. A day later the sandhills give the ice back to the river, and the ground is ready again.
