Every April the pollen comes down over Fairview in a yellow film and settles on siding, walkways and porch rails without preference. Treadway's lawn care and pressure washing shows up for both halves of that, grass cut and edged into the growing season, and water put to the hard surfaces until the concrete is its own color again. Mowing and trimming carry the yard through the warm months; the washer handles what a mower never could. There is a real before-and-after in a walkway that goes from dull gray-green to pale and clean in a single slow pass. The house looks awake again, and so does the lawn.
