Lyma Drainage & Grading

About Lyma Drainage & Grading

Erwin's streets were laid out in a grid beside the Cape Fear, block after block of mill houses whose front yards all face one another. Lyma Drainage & Grading keeps them cut through the long Harnett County growing season — mowing, squaring the edges along the walks, running the trimmer down the fence lines — then switches to snow on the handful of days each winter when the sandy ground goes white. Those storms come rarely enough that nobody is ready, which is exactly why somebody has to be: drives plowed, walks shoveled, salt down on the steps and the slope to the street. Out in the pines along the river the snow lingers in the shade a while and is gone by afternoon. Both jobs come down to the same thing — a property somebody is glad to pull into.
