About Select Tree Service

North of Elkin the land tilts up toward Stone Mountain, and in April the granite still holds the cold while the low ground has already gone green. Select Tree Service works that stretch of Surry County — removals where a trunk has hollowed out above a driveway, trimming to clear roofs and hand a lane back its width, pruning young trees toward a form that will not need correcting later on. Spring wind is the season's own test, and the storm calls follow it: a pine top down, an oak leaning on a fence, gone before the weekend. Steep drives and long yards mean the work gets measured out — rig it, drop it, chip it, clear it. The last hour is broom work, and it is the part neighbors remember.
