Saul lawn and haul

About Saul lawn and haul

Spring in these foothills leaves a mess behind it — winter's limbs, the pile behind the shed, the corner of the yard that got away from somebody. Saul lawn and haul takes both halves of that job: mowing, trimming and edging on one side, and on the other a trailer backed up to the curb for brush, leaves and debris that need to be gone rather than merely moved. Around Elkin the runs go out past the fields and back again, and every load leaves a yard with more room in it than it had that morning. There is a plain pleasure in an open lot and a mowed strip where the pile used to sit. Some jobs are only finished when you can see the ground again.
