About M&M Land and Lawn co.

By September the soybean fields around Pasquotank County have gone gold at the edges and the light comes in low and long across them. M&M Land and Lawn co. works the seam between field and yard, mowing, edging, trimming and cleaning up the ground that would otherwise go quietly back to weeds. Out in the county a property line is a real thing, and it only stays visible if somebody keeps cutting it. Fence rows get knocked back, the yard gets held to a rhythm, the cuttings get carried away. When the first frost finally comes, the whole place sits tidy underneath it.
