McLane Lawn and Landscapes

About McLane Lawn and Landscapes

Fog settles low over the lawns off Croasdaile on some autumn mornings, and the grass holds its silver until the sun clears the pines. McLane Lawn and Landscapes moves through it with ordinary tools — mower, edger, trimmer, blower — and the ordinary discipline of doing the same property the same careful way every week. Hedges get shaped before they go leggy, beds get their line recut, and the leaves come off before the first hard rain glues them down. A place that has been kept up has a certain stillness to it; you feel it before you can name it. Durham and the towns along its western side.
