Hunter Excavating

About Hunter Excavating

North of town the Eno runs cold and dark between its rock ledges, and the gravel drives above it are the first places in Durham to go slick. Hunter Excavating works those roads when a storm comes through — pushing snow off long farm lanes and steep approaches, opening driveways wide enough for a truck to turn, treating the shaded curves that never catch midday sun. Out here a cleared lane is not a convenience; it is the difference between going to work and staying put. The reading matters as much as the blade: where drifts pile, where meltwater will lock up again by dusk. By the time light comes over the river, the way is open.
