About Capital City Groundskeeping LLC

Downtown Durham wakes early, and the brick of the old tobacco warehouses holds the cold long after the sky has gone gray-blue. When a winter storm glazes Main Street, Capital City Groundskeeping LLC is out ahead of the first commuters — plowing lots, clearing walks, spreading salt at the doorways where people will step in an hour. Bull City winters trade in sleet and freezing rain as often as powder, so the work is patient: scrape, treat, come back and check it again. There is real pleasure in a lot that looks like nothing ever happened to it. Durham gets its day back, and nobody has to think about how.
