About Hart and Sons LLC

The drives around Cedar Mountain climb in gravel switchbacks, and the lawns they lead to are cut into the slope in narrow terraces. Hart and Sons LLC mows ground like that, working across the pitch and trimming the banks by hand where no wheel will hold. Evenings in July the air comes down off the ridge smelling of cut grass and warm stone, and a yard that was shaggy at breakfast reads as one green plane by supper. The season runs short at the top of the mountain and long at the bottom, so the route changes shape month to month. When November strips the trees, they come back for the leaves.
