About High Tide Landscaping and Design

Northwestern Sampson County keeps a bigger sky than most of North Carolina — between a yard in Dismal and the horizon there is little but crop rows, a pine windbreak and the road toward Roseboro. High Tide Landscaping and Design mows, edges and trims out here in the long gold hour before dusk, when the heat finally lets go and the light comes in sideways across the grass. Sandy loam grows a lawn quickly and dries it out just as fast, so the cutting height gets set to the week rather than the calendar. Cleanups pull the pine straw and storm-dropped limbs out of the beds and the fence line. What is left is a clean rectangle of green against all that open farmland.
