About Wells Excavating & Landscaping

Evening in the Tuckasegee valley is the reward for a July day — heat sliding off the ridges, the gravel drives cooling, whip-poor-wills starting up in the treeline. Wells Excavating & Landscaping mows the big mountain properties where the lawn runs from the porch out to the pasture edge, taking the wide open ground in long passes and the awkward banks by hand. Edges are cut where turf meets gravel, which up here is most of the boundary there is, and the trimmer follows the fence, the culvert and the outbuilding walls. Then everything hard gets blown off so the drive reads as drive again. A place this size looks its best when the cut is even from one end to the other, and that is what the day is spent on.
