About Stewart’s Hydroseeding Inc.

By late May the raw ground on a Cullowhee cut bank has finally knit itself into grass, thin and bright and standing up toward the light. Stewart's Hydroseeding Inc. treats that first mow with a light touch — deck high, blades sharp, passes taken across the grade so nothing is pulled loose before the roots have taken hold. From there the routine settles in: even mowing as the stand thickens, edges cut where the new lawn meets drive and walk, trimming along the base of the slope. Mountain weather does what it wants in spring, so the schedule bends around the rain rather than fighting it. Watching a bare hillside turn into a lawn you can walk barefoot on is the whole point of the summer.
