About Appalachian LawnScapes, LLC

Fog sits in the coves below the Balsams until about nine, and then it lifts all at once and the whole valley comes up green. Appalachian LawnScapes, LLC works those slopes — yards that fall away from the house at angles no flat-land mower ever meets, where the cut has to be taken across the grade and the footing read one pass at a time. Mowing, edging and trimming here mean respecting a hillside: even height on the bank, a firm line where the lawn meets gravel, nothing scalped on the high spots. Mountain grass grows in cool bursts from April into October, so the timing follows the weather rather than the calendar. Standing back at the bottom of a finished slope, with the ridge line above it, is worth the climb.
