SEMO Lawn Co.

About SEMO Lawn Co.

October takes its time in Cross Roads, turning the sweetgums first and the oaks last, then dropping all of it onto the same few yards. SEMO Lawn Co. meets that slow avalanche with leaf removal and fall cleanups, alongside the mowing, trimming and edging that carry a lawn right up to the week it finally goes dormant. Few things look as settled as a yard cleared in late autumn: the walk swept, the border cut clean, nothing left underfoot but grass. Leaves are patient work — they come down for weeks and they have no interest in anyone's schedule. Coming back until the job is actually finished is the difference between a raked yard and a clean one. Then the ground rests, and in March the whole thing begins again.
