About Strickland Lawn Care & Construction Services

East of Cross Creek the lots open out toward Eastover, where the yards run to an acre and the field line beyond them is still farmed. Strickland Lawn Care & Construction Services works that scale — the wide first cut of March when the ground has finally dried enough to carry weight, the long straight passes, the edges pulled back along a gravel drive that winter shifted. Trimmer work follows the fence, the well head and the tree line where the mower stops. Out here a yard is not a square; it is everything between the porch and the pines, and it all has to be kept. By late afternoon the grass is down, the drive is swept, and the whole place looks like somebody meant it.
