Brookins Lawn Care Service

About Brookins Lawn Care Service

April in Clayton arrives yellow: pine pollen off the loblollies coats every windshield, porch rail and blade of grass from the river bottoms to the west side of town. Brookins Lawn Care Service works straight through it, mowing and edging early and blowing walks and drives clean so the green underneath comes back. The first cuts of the year are the ones that set a yard's shape for months. Later come the summer routes, the trim line along fences and mailboxes, the leaf work when the oaks finally let go. The growing season here is long and generous; the trick is meeting it every single week.
