Pacheco's Tree Service

About Pacheco's Tree Service

China Grove keeps its old Main Street and its railroad line, and the trains still come through with a sound you can set a morning by. Pacheco's Tree Service works the mill-village blocks and the newer streets running out toward the county roads, where water oaks and pines lean over rooflines they were never planted to reach. Winter is pruning weather — the frame of a tree is plain without its leaves, and cuts made in the cold grow into a better shape come spring. Removals get planned tight for small Rowan County lots, brought down in sections so a fence, a shed and a neighbor's azaleas all survive the day. When a squall line drops limbs across the street, the saws show up, the wood goes out, and the block looks settled again before supper.
