Spring Green

About Spring Green

October along Little Sugar Creek is Charlotte at its most generous — the greenway busy, the water low and clear, the light gone long and forgiving by four in the afternoon. Spring Green does its most patient work then, because fall is when a Piedmont lawn is actually made: aeration and seeding, feeding, the leaf cleanups that keep a yard breathing all winter. Mowing carries on through the warm weeks, edges kept sharp along drives and walks, beds cleared down as the perennials fade. Come the following June, the yards that got that attention are the ones standing thick and even while others go thin. Lawn care around Freedom Park, Sedgefield, Madison Park and Park Road in Charlotte.
