For two weeks every April Charlotte turns gold — pine pollen on the cars, on the porch rails, on the still water of Mallard Creek — and then the rain comes and the whole city goes green overnight. Green Landscaping is busiest right there in the turn, mowing yards that gained four inches in a week and cutting the first sharp edges of the season along walks and drives. Around University City the yards are open and full-sun most of the day, and they answer fast to steady mowing, trimming and feeding.
