About Augusta Lawn Care of SouthPark

By six on a June evening the light in SouthPark comes down sideways through the crepe myrtles and lays itself in long bands across the front lawns off Barclay Downs. That is the hour Augusta Lawn Care of SouthPark likes best, because it shows everything: the mow lines running true, the edge holding its shape where turf meets concrete, the hedge faces flat and honest. The work is steady and unglamorous — cut, trim the fence corners and mailbox posts, blow the walks and drive back to bare, leave nothing behind but the smell of cut grass. Charlotte grass grows fast in summer and forgives nothing, so the calendar matters as much as the machine. A yard here should look like someone thought about it, and that is the whole ambition.
