About Deans landscaping

By November the oaks and hickories along the Weaver Dairy Road side of the township have let go all at once, and a lawn can vanish under a foot of brown in a single windy night. Deans landscaping treats that as the season's real work: clearing the leaves down to green, tidying the beds, giving the fescue back its light before the cold sets the growth to sleeping. The rest of the year is the steady half — mowing, edging, keeping lines honest along the drives. There is a satisfaction in the last pass of a fall cleanup that nothing else in the trade quite matches, a whole yard reappearing where a brown drift used to be. Chapel Hill and the towns around it keep this crew busy in every direction.
