American Turf & Maintenance

About American Turf & Maintenance

Fog sits in the Catawba River bottoms until the sun climbs high enough to lift it, and the yards on that slope wake up wet most of the growing season. American Turf & Maintenance runs the weekly rounds through town and the roads around it — mowing, string trimming along fence lines, crisp edging at walks and drives, beds mulched, fertilization and weed control timed to what the grass is actually doing that month. Fescue cut damp smells like the whole county at once. The last pass is the good one: stripes lying down even, nothing left standing at the mailbox post. Nobody photographs it; everybody notices.
