About Colvard Landscaping & Grading

Water shapes most things in Carey's Flat, a mountain community a few miles south of Grandfather Mountain. After a heavy storm it comes off the slopes fast, and it goes wherever the ground lets it. Colvard Landscaping & Grading works with that truth, grading land so a yard sheds water the way it should and the soil stays where it belongs. Once the ground is right, the landscaping follows: a lawn set on firm, even footing and beds placed where runoff will feed them rather than carry them off. On a March morning with the creeks running high, a yard shaped like that sits calm and steady while the hills drain around it.
