About Colvard Landscaping

In mountain country a flat is a gift, a stretch of level ground the hills agreed to give up, and Carey's Flat carries that gift in its name. Colvard Landscaping cares for the yards of this small Blue Ridge community, where a summer afternoon can swing from blue sky to rumbling cloud in the time it takes to mow a lawn. Mountain rain makes the grass come on thick, and left to itself it would drift back toward meadow within weeks. Colvard holds the line with mower and trimmer, edges drawn clean where the yard meets the woods. When the storm clears and the light returns, the lawn shines wet and even, the very flat its name describes.
