Cape Fear Clean & Haul

About Cape Fear Clean & Haul

Along the Cape Fear the morning comes up warm and slow, the river running the color of strong tea beneath the cypress. Cape Fear Clean & Haul starts the mowing early, while the sandy yards are still cool and the pine straw is heavy with dew. Blades sharp, passes even, edges cut clean against the drive — a lawn that looks like somebody paid attention. Through the long green months there is always more to carry off: clippings, storm limbs, the drift of leaves a hard afternoon rain brings down. The work is plain and it is honest, and a tidy yard on a hot Cape Fear afternoon feels a little like shade.
