About Josh's Lawn Service

By November the longleaf and loblolly out past Camp Geiger have dropped their straw over everything, soft and rust-colored and ankle-deep in the corners. Josh's Lawn Service rakes and blows it out of the lawns and beds around Camp Lejeune, carts the leaves off, and gives the grass its light back before winter. Mowing carries on while there is still growth in it, with the edges cut in and the walks left bare. Fresh straw goes back into the beds where it belongs, laid even and deep. It is the season that most rewards patience, and a raked yard in low autumn sun is a genuinely good thing to stand and look at.
