About Vestal Land Clearing & Grading Inc.

The wind crosses Davie County from the west with nothing to slow it, so a two-inch snow can stack a foot deep against a fence row and leave the field beside it nearly bare. Vestal Land Clearing & Grading Inc. reads the drifts and plows accordingly — driveways and lanes opened, parking areas cleared, walks shoveled and salted where the ice sets up hard. Out past Calahaln the properties run wide, and clearing one means seeing the whole shape of the land written in white. Push the banks back far enough and the next storm has somewhere to go. That is the difference between a drive that stays open all winter and one that shrinks by February.
