About Trees Are Us, Carolina Tree Service, Alamance Gaddy Tree Service

Burlington grew up around a railroad yard, and the old streets still run in neat rows under willow oaks planted back when the mills were humming. Those oaks are generous and they are heavy, so the work matches the tree — pruning to take weight off a limb reaching over a porch roof, trimming clearance along a sidewalk, removals when a trunk has finally given up on a lot the size of a handkerchief. Piedmont thunderstorms build fast on a July afternoon and can lay a hackberry across a fence in the time it takes to bring in the laundry, and the cleanup after is a chainsaw, a chipper and a truck easing down a narrow drive without brushing the boxwoods. Whether the address is near the Haw River bottoms or up by the city park, the aim holds: a clean cut, a swept lawn, and the street looking like a street again. Neighbors notice the small things — sawdust picked up, the curb clear before dark.
