About Nathan's Tree Service and Excavating, Inc.

Bryson City in January is a small town wearing a big mountain — bare ridges above Fontana's cold gray water, the light arriving late over Everett Street. Nathan's Tree Service and Excavating spends those short days taking out the hardwoods that have leaned all winter and pulling deadwood from crowns before spring wind finds it first. Trimming here means giving a switchback driveway room to turn and a power drop room to hang; pruning means cutting for a tree's next decade rather than this afternoon. When ice or a summer downburst lays timber across a lane, the storm work is the same promise made faster: open the road, clear the yard, haul it off. Nothing looks better on a mountain lot than ground put back in order before dark.
