About Lawn wrestlers

By the middle of July, grass around Boonville grows faster than anybody can politely keep up with — warm nights, an afternoon shower, and a lawn goes shaggy in a week. Lawn wrestlers takes that on directly, mowing, trimming and edging through the humid stretch of summer when the work is hottest and matters most. There is a plain pleasure in walking up to a yard that has gotten away from someone and walking off leaving it level and cut clean to the edges. The Brushy Mountains sit blue on the western horizon while the mower goes back and forth; the clippings get blown off the concrete; the job is over when the lawn looks like somebody meant it. Come October the work changes to leaves, and that fight is friendlier.
