Abe’s Mowing

About Abe’s Mowing

Morning comes early in the Yadkin Valley, and the first pass of the day gets cut through dew that hasn't decided to lift yet. Abe's Mowing keeps yards around Boonville mowed, trimmed and edged, working the rolling ground between farm fields and vineyard rows where red clay shows through at the shoulder of every drive. There is real satisfaction in stripes that follow the shape of a lawn the way furrows follow a hill. By the time the sun clears the tree line, the clippings are blown off the walk and the edge along the driveway runs straight as fence wire. It is ordinary work, done carefully, in a county that has always paid attention to how its ground looks.
